AI website builders make the first screen look easy. The work hiding behind it is what your business depends on. When you build it yourself, you also take on the job of checking it, fixing it, and keeping it working.
A headline. Some images. A button.
Enough to look done.
A “message sent” screen alone does not prove delivery.
Menus, long product names, forms, and tap targets included.
Your offer, your proof, and a useful next step—not generic filler.
Know who fixes issues and what you can take with you.
Illustrative workflow. Features and limitations differ by tool; these are checks every website needs.
A polished screen can hide an unconnected form, an awkward mobile menu, or a checkout nobody has tested. Looking right and working right are two separate checks. The unfinished part becomes your responsibility.
An AI-generated change still needs review. If it affects another screen or connection, you need to spot it and decide what to do next. You wanted a website. You can end up managing a software project.
Owning your words and images is not always the same as owning a portable website. Some builders restrict hosting; others export code but leave migration to you. Ask what happens when you want to leave—before you commit.
The headline subscription is only one part of the decision. Check which features are included, what costs extra, and how much time you’ll spend getting everything to work.
Paying for access is not paying someone to finish the job. A lower subscription can still leave you doing the planning, testing, and repairs.

Wix’s documentation says its sites must run on Wix’s infrastructure. Lovable’s documentation offers code ownership and export. These products are not interchangeable, and neither are their exit options. Our point: read the terms for the tool you choose; don’t assume a subscription buys you a complete, transferable handover.

The Indian Express reported a database deletion during a Replit experiment. It also covered the company’s response, including separation of development and production databases. Read the incident and the fixes together.
A reported 2025 incident—not a claim that every AI-built website loses data.

METR’s early-2025 trial found 16 experienced developers took 19% longer with AI on 246 tasks in familiar projects. Its February 2026 update suggests newer tools likely help more, while selection effects limit the measurement. Judge the finished work, not a speed promise.
A specific research setting—not a benchmark for every developer, task, or current tool.

Wix says its websites need Wix’s infrastructure to operate. Owning your content does not make that site a portable, self-hosted codebase. Your hosting options are part of the purchase decision.
A Wix-specific restriction. Other platforms, including some AI builders, offer code export.
Check the documentation ↗The point is due diligence. You need someone who can assess the tool, check the output, and take responsibility for the agreed build. That is the work we do.

AI is useful in the hands of someone who can judge its output. We use it for routine work. Our developers make the decisions, review the code, and test the result. You hire us to take responsibility for the build—not hand you a prompt and wish you luck.
A textile buyer needs product and manufacturing detail. A clothing shopper needs clear sizing and checkout. We plan the pages around the questions your customers need answered.
Mobile layouts. Form delivery. Links. Loading speed. Payment flows where included. We test the agreed journeys before launch, because a good-looking button is no use if the next step fails.

Clear answers about working with us, what you own, and what happens next.
Because generating a page and taking responsibility for a launch are different jobs. You pay us to understand your business, make design and technical decisions, test the agreed features, resolve build issues, and hand over a working website. AI can help with parts of that work. It does not replace the agreement between you and the team delivering it.
No. Builders can be useful for experiments, early drafts, and people willing to do their own testing and maintenance. Some offer code export, too. Our criticism is the promise that generating a page removes the work and responsibility of delivering a business website. If you do not want that job, hire a team that will do it.
For a custom website, you receive the custom code and files we create and the agreed account access. Domains, hosting, paid apps, and licenses can still have ongoing fees. Shopify and other hosted platforms have their own subscriptions and portability limits. We explain these before you choose, and any maintenance or ongoing support is separately scoped.
We start by reviewing what exists and what access is available. Then we explain whether repairing, continuing, or rebuilding is the sensible route. We won’t promise every generated project can be rescued unchanged. You receive a proposed scope and price before we begin.
No. A website supports your sales process; it cannot guarantee demand, traffic, or rankings. We commit to the agreed design, development, testing, and handover. We build clear journeys that make it easier for visitors to understand your business and take the next step.
Bring your business, your idea, or the website you got stuck on. We’ll help you decide what is worth building—and take the build off your plate.
